What’s the role?
The Chief Marketing Officer will oversee and spearhead all of Cudoni’s marketing efforts. The CMO’s primary goal is to ensure that sales, retention and growth goals are met or exceeded.
He / she will be accountable for building and driving an A+ team and helping achieve corporate revenue and profit goals.
The CMO will work closely with the Executive Leadership team, as well as the Sales and Product teams, to craft brand positioning and initiate campaigns to meet sales goals.
This includes creating and communicating the value of Cudoni across the industry and beyond.
What responsibilities can you expect?
Oversight and accountability for the entirety of the marketing and media budget.
Strategy and direction
Leading marketing strategy across the business, working with key stakeholders. Ultimate accountability for success of marketing / growth function.
Informing insight and direction through a combination of prior experience, data insight and innovation strategies.
Ensuring external communications align with the Cudoni brand.
Utilising industry connections where relevant.
Increasing brand equity by acting as the chief storyteller for the brand.
Working with the CTO on informing product strategy through both creative and data driven insight.
Work with the CTO to improve conversion rate across the entire digital product spectrum.
Defining and inputting on all brand touchpoints to further develop brand strategy; from product packaging through to website.
Contributing to the top-line business CRM strategy in partnership with our Head of Customer, with ultimate responsibility for the marketing customer-centricity strategy.
Developing marketing capability to improve customer data and insight, with a view to lowering acquisition and retention costs.
Building and managing a marketing team. Covering acquisition, retention and marcomms functions, both internally and externally.
Overseeing press functions and working directly with the media team at the Daily Mail Group.
Scoping and implementing KPIs across all functions.
Providing regular reports and updates to senior management and the wider team on strategy and progress on tangible deliverables.
What skills and qualities do we require?
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or relevant discipline; MBA preferred but not essential.
10+ plus years marketing experience; experience in senior management or executive positions in various businesses and industries.
Experience in a high growth startup through funding rounds post-Series A is a plus.
Proven track-record in building brand awareness and recognition.
Metric driven and have the ability to draw insight from complex marketing data.
Excellent collaborator with roll up your sleeves management approach.
Outstanding organisational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills.
Works well under pressure, can handle and delegate workload effectively.
Experience working cross-functionally to ensure marketing programs are in-line with company objectives.
Customer-centric approach; keen ability to identify and meet customer needs.
Strong creative skills and ability to innovate.
Ability to lead by example and inspire confidence.
