Senior / Lead Biostatistician
This position is a partially office-based position that is open between our offices in Barcelona, Montreal, Toronto, Paris, London.
Ideal starting date : from September 2020 onwards
The role will include the following responsibilities
Providing management and technical support to other team member within the HEMA department
Coordinating all phases of statistical project such as systematic literature review, data collection in web survey, and real-world studies
Managing client relationship upon projects and providing supportive answers to RFPs
Providing support on the identification of the methodological approaches to be used by the analytical team to address a study area
Act as Project Director, develop study designs, interpret study results in the context of HEOR projects
Analysing the data using a variety of statistical methods
Act as the lead analyst in innovative / research projects
Lead the development of content / solution section of proposals including for innovative projects
Lead publication writing and / or meetings to represent the company expertise
Ensure high client satisfaction
Contribute to the development of SOPs, templates, processes in the team area of expertise
Comply with internal processes regarding project management and tracking
Provide regular feedback to team lead
Mentor junior team members (guidance on methodological expertise, soft skills and professional development)
Manage large / multiple projects independently with hands-on development where appropriate
Represent company expertise in capabilities presentations, conferences and external events
The candidate should possess the following skills / experience
Advanced degree in Statistics, Biostatistics (minimum MS degree or equivalent)
4+ years of relevant working experience in Statistics
Proficiency in SAS or R programming
Strong knowledge of statistical methods for clinical trial data analyses, RWE and / or NMA
Excellent project organization and management
Experience in project team supervision and leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication to ensure a communication with client and team members as well as in providing support
Fluency in English (written & spoken)
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to identify , design, organize, implement and present the project approach and plan
Creative thinking, problem-solving
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills in addition to the requirements :
5-7 years of relevant working experience in Statistics
3+ years experience in a consultancy role
Ability to analyze relationships between activities in the company to optimize synergies, lead client communication and create opportunities
Proven track record of leading biostatistics projects in different contexts
Extensive experience in clinical trials analysis, survival analysis, RWE and NMA
Working with cross-functional teams (stats / HE / market access / other)
Ability to demonstrate key Amaris values - trust, independence, performance, commitment, and boldness

Strong business acumen as well as proactive and positive mindset to drive initiatives forward
