Service Manager Band 8b Forensic Community TeamsThe North London Forensic Service has a well-established Forensic Outreach service that covers Barnet, Enfield, Haringey Camden and Islington boroughs.
It was recently commissioned to set up a Specialist Community Forensic team as part of a wave 2 national pilot. This is an exciting new initiative that will provide intensive support to patients and clinical teams to support discharge and ongoing management in the community.
The forensic community teams provide a combination of case management, co-working with local community Teams and a wide range of local training and risk assessment expertise to community teams, accommodation providers and local services.
The successful applicant will lead the delivery of the pilot as well as the ongoing management of teams across the North Central London area and will respond dynamically to changes in commissioning in the coming year.
They will work with the full multi-disciplinary team to set the work and culture of the team and the interfaces with both inpatient teams and community providers.
They will have strong clinical skills and will have managerial responsibilities, representing the team and service and local and national levelThe post holder will have an input into developing training to local providers on areas such as risk assessment.
They will ensure that the team deliver KPIs set up with NHSE and will liaise closely with the performance managers to ensure that data is appropriately collated and reported and there is a robust system of governance and accountability.
