As the Companion Team Leader, you will champion the activities and wellbeing service provided at the care home. You will ensure that our residents can look forward to a calendar of activities and social events that enhance their quality of life.
Activities can be of any size from 'whole home events' through to smaller group activities and quiet, one to one sessions.
We fully utilise the home’s communal spaces and its gardens to provide stimulating and enjoyable activities every day and offer a variety of outside trips on the minibus.
As the Companion Team Leader, you will manage a small team of Companions and will play your part in co-ordinating, organising and delivering a range of activities.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the team’s work allocation and rostering for team members. You will identify requirements for support, supervisions and training, planning holiday and sickness cover, monitoring the effective management of the team budget and resident records.
You will lead team meetings and be a primary representative for the team internally and externally to ensure that the companionship team meets residents' needs and preferences.
Alongside the Home Manager and Customer Service team, you will maintain and nurture links with the local community, encouraging visits from professional entertainers and supporting with the planning and delivery of fundraising, gala and themed events for the care home and local charities.

As a team leader’ you’ll be someone who has demonstrated supervisory / leadership skills in previous roles.
