We are looking to bring on board a Senior Contracts and Commercial Manager to work with high profile clients, delivering improvements to complex contracts.

This role will ideally sit in our Glasgow office.

This role will see you take responsibility for pre-contract commercial management and commitment management and also commercial / subcontract management issues across a portfolio of high profile contracts.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Perform Functional Expert reviews for both for client facing and subcontractor contracts
  • Develop the commercial aspects of a bid solution to balance risk and reward
  • Ensure effective commercial management of the contract or portfolio of contracts
  • Highlight the risk of, and lead the proactive avoidance and resolution, of disputes
  • Ensure commercial awareness of client or subcontractor facing account team members
  • Prepare and collate dispute resolution documentation
  • Develop positive working relationships in client organisations
  • Propose improvement to the commercial processes and practices
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies to maximise the outcome for CGI
  • Demonstrate client advocacy skills to bringing a sense of reality to CGI’s proposals and positions
  • Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Demonstrable success in a similar role- ideally within a consultancy environment or an IT managed services business
  • Degree Level Education and IACCM CCME (Highly desirable)
  • Strong commercial innovation
  • An understanding of pre-sales and winning bids
  • A comprehensive understanding of contract law
  • Highly effective negotiation and influencing skills
  • Possess a level of gravitas that naturally instils confidence across the board
