Why this role matters

This role will provide deal pricing execution and commercial modelling with a focus on maximising P&L return for non standard deals within the DOA governance framework.

The role will work with sales to understand customer requirements then use market and internal insight, scenario modelling and commercial levers in order to create the optimum solution to maximise our commercial deal response.

With an eye on the detail, this role will also use detailed analysis and trending to support DOA and pricing policy changes.

What you'll be doing

Using scenario modelling, analytics and commercial levers, recommend deal pricing solutions outside of standard framework, supported by pricing tools CPQ etc.

Co-ordinates and evaluates opportunities and assesses underlying risk, making recommendations on how to optimise

Support improvements in DOA governance and pricing policy and co-ordinate bi-weekly deal governance boards in accordance with channel DOA framework

Using insight, analysis and pricing trends, recommend improvements in deal pricing tools and methodologies in order to improve win rate and value retention

Provide analysis and insight on price performance and benchmarking to aid decision making and maintain up to date pricing catalogues

Using insights, analysis and market expertise, support creation of customer interventions as required

Story-telling with data : skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques to support recommendations

Tools and systems : comfortable working with new systems and tools with the ability to identify best practice tooling and using supporting analysis, provide recommendations on changes in tools

Relationships : ability to work collaboratively, test and challenge thinking and build relationships across cross-functional teams in order to get things done

Commercial acumen : Understanding of the pricing and cost levers and assumptions that influence our costs and profitability with the ability to recognise opportunities for performance improvement

Governance : Awareness and understanding of governance frameworks with the ability to recommend and influence change
