To support our continued growth from our Head Office within Cornwall's Marine hub of Falmouth, we are seeking proactive and practical Workshop and Site Fitters with the ability to assemble, service and repair light and heavy plant and hydraulic components.


We are looking for individuals who can be either in the workshop or on site. They need to have a pragmatic approach whilst adhering to the company's quality standards.

To support our workshop / management site team in maintaining a professional level of productivity, work efficiently as a team and ensure company and client's expectations and standards are met and exceeded.

  • What is your preferred method of communication? Key responsibilities for the role : Demonstrate a sound understanding of the hydraulic and mechanical discipline of appropriate new and existing drilling equipment and ancillary plant;

    Applicant Communication Policy Assess performance and condition of plant and machinery, check for wear and tear and identify potential breakdowns and report to Supervisor / Charge hand.

    React to site breakdowns, provide technical problem-solving solutions to site personnel, identify and report any defects likely to lead to major breakdowns.

    Contribute to the ongoing development of Plant Maintenance, Site and Workshop procedures including Cost control systems.

    Travel required nationwide and overseas at short notice (this particularly relates to the site-based role) Always Work safely, stop operations immediately in the event of any risk to any employees, visitors, the plant or ancillary equipment.

    Complete all tasks assigned and to the tolerances and specifications given by design or senior instruction and within the Company quality requirements.

    Ensure that the health and safety of everyone within the workshop / Site, including clients and visitors, always remains a priority.

    Preferred experience : Previous experience in mechanical fitting role coupled with knowledge of hydraulics is essential.

    experience in drilling rigs, pumps, winches, hydraulic deck cranes, agriculture equipment and general plant equipment would be advantageous.
