We are looking for a talented UI / UX Designer to join our growing Digital team and help us build amazing products! Can you create and translate creative software design concepts and ideas into reality?

Jacobs Digital exists alongside this extensive portfolio of projects working with major clients across all sectors. Digital is responsible for incubating, building, and running new products and solutions for our customers meaning you are joining a team of fast-moving problem solvers working on varied and interesting challenges.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced designer with strengths across the whole life cycle of the UX process and excellent visual design skills.

This is an opportunity for someone who is keen to discover new skills, become part of a respected and hardworking team, and see their contributions add immediate value.

You will understand user interface design solutions both in practical intent and creative vision; working between customer need and our development team to realise that vision.

Your role will involve planning, designing, implementing, and optimising enhancements ensuring the latest UX best practice is adhered to.

You will seek out multiple sources of qualitative and quantitative data to identify risks and opportunities.

You will design across a wide-range of complex products and industries, utilising innovative technologies and proven approaches to design enterprise-class applications.


  • Full stack product design, taking responsibility for all aspects of the of the feature you design - from the first sketch through to implementation, you’ll drive all stages of the design process.
  • Work directly with the product, insights and engineering team to understand the user base, business needs, related requirements and technical constraints.
  • Utilising UX principles to design excellent experiences for internal and external clients.
  • Work directly with users to quickly find insights to solve design problems.
  • Producing low fidelity wireframes and prototypes for rapid review and iteration.
  • Producing high fidelity prototypes and mock-ups for testing and demonstration.
  • Designing for enterprise applications, web experiences and native apps.
  • Developing the Jacobs Digital Design System.
  • Advocating User-Centred Design with stakeholders.
  • Here's What You'll Need :

  • Strong understanding of UX principles, both from academic learning and on-the-job experience.
  • Possess a strong understanding of UX Research methodologies - interviews, surveys, usability testing, field trials and how they fit into a full UCD process.
  • Skilled at using research insights to make design decisions, and in creating strategic design documents such as Personas, User Journey Maps and Storyboards.
  • Proficient at creating high-level information architectures, low-level flows and wireframes, interaction designs, interactive prototypes, etc.
  • Significant experience using interactive prototyping tools Figma, Axure, InVision, Adobe XD) with a preference for Figma.
  • Ability to design products and features that match how people think and behave.
  • Strong visual design skills.
  • Knowledgeable and competent in designing for accessibility.
  • Ability to balance competing demands of multiple projects within a global corporate environment.
  • Great communicator.
