Structural Soils Limited, a member of RSK Group plc, is a 250-strong site investigation contractor. It is further supported by a fully accredited UKAS laboratory and together with the Geosciences business unit of RSK, the company makes RSK Group one of the UK’s largest site investigation service providers.

We are now looking to recruit a Receptionist / Administrator to join the team at our offices in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours each week, 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Receptionist / Administrator - Castleford

Key Duties and Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to :

  • Provide administration support to a team of engineers and senior management, including invoicing, couriers, typing, data entry, correcting and formatting
  • Provide financial support to projects and project managers, including project set-up, raising purchase orders and preparing invoices
  • Provide administrative support to in-house SHEQ team.
  • Provide administrative support to Drilling Team
  • Hiring of equipment for engineering and drilling projects, including dealing with supplier representatives and maintaining company hire records
  • Act as central point of contact for engineers working out of the office.
  • Prepare electronic and hard copy reports for distribution to clients and management reports for team leaders
  • Set up and maintain project and tender files, both electronic and hard copy and undertake filing / archiving
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing post, answer phones, arrange catering for meetings and other general office duties
  • Desired experience

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
  • Administration experience preferable
