Job Purpose and Summary

Canon UK, Repair Centre based in Elstree, Herfordshire is keen to build a pipeline of talented individuals, who have the experience in the repair of photographic Digital SLR equipment and lenses, so that Canon can respond to open vacancies more quickly.

We are seeking those who have the experience to service and repair, at a senior level, Canon Professional Cameras, lenses and associated products to the required Company Standard.

To provide a professional standard of technical information / liaison with customers. Attendance is also required to carry out technical repair support at various CPS Marketing events within both the UK and overseas.

  • Repair products Diagnose, repair, adjust and check all parameters regarding Canon Professional Cameras, lenses and their associated accessories, to required company standards- training given
  • Attend technical training Courses In the UK and Overseas as required.
  • Repair records Maintain accurate repair documentation using Canon systems and processes.
  • Spare Parts Proactive escalation of parts shortages and recommendation of adjustment to stock levels.
  • Customer Enquiries Regular telephone and face to face technical communication with Customers relating to their enquiries, also proactively contacting customers, as appropriate, to seek further technical repair information in relation to a repair or to offer advice to customers regarding the use of their products. .

    Electronic / mechanical engineering background ideally with 3rd level electronics qualification at HNC / HND Level or evidence of repairing camera equipment.

    Good command of the English Language, written and spoken

    Relevant product knowledge including an active interest and the ability to demonstrate the use of professional photographic equipment

    Significant experience in carrying out repairs to electro / mechanical products and related software, ideally on Cameras or associated products.

    Competent in the use of PCs and software packages

    You will need

    You'll need to have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, be a team player and is manage your own workload and be accountable.

    Closing Date - there is no closing date as we are encouraging candidates to show interest in those with the skills and experience to repair camera equipment in readiness of roles as they become available.

    Salary - £23,892 - £25,220 plus (£4,000 on target earnings bonus)
