This role for a Access to Records officer has been released on a temporary basis for 3 months initially
Main Duties :
To support the day to day processing of Subject Access / Access to records requests in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This process involves :
Determining which records / information the request relates to and liaising with Children’s Services as appropriate
To assist in the processing of information requests in regard to Next Steps’
Disclose any personal data as appropriate in liaison with Children’s Services.
To ensure up to date knowledge of current legislation.
Proven relevant experience of working with the ICO and other regulatory bodies.
Knowledge and understanding of the importance of confidentiality and information governance and security principles.
Ability to work on own initiative and exercise own judgment with discretion.
The ability to foster good working relationships with a range of colleagues both internally and externally.
Due to the short term nature of the role they would like someone who has worked in a similar capacity previously.
