We have a vacancy in our Youth Justice Service which is part of our wider Youth Engagement Service offering a wide range of high quality services from our multi- agency & MATRIX accredited Talkshop young peoples Centre.
All teams deliver services borough wide to support young people aged 10 to 19.
You will be suitably experienced in delivering Youth Justice Services to young people and confident to lead and support a team of youth justice practitioners.
you will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues and change what you do and how you do it to make a difference.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you’ll supervise and support a number of youth justice case managers, practitioners and specialist staff.
You will ensure staff work to national standards and Trafford procedures & regularly monitor and audit casework to ensure suitable management oversight.
You will have leadership and management skills to enable you to support and motivate staff teams to deliver successful interventions and improve outcomes for young people.
You will be part of the Youth Engagement Service Operational management team & directly contribute to service development.
You will have at least 2years’ experience of working as a professional in a Youth Justice setting & will possess a relevant professional qualification (Social Work / Youth & Community / Teaching).
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide leadership to a team of professional staff.
You will support the service by leading on specialist areas & work with both internal and external partners to support the continuous improvement and development of services.
You will ensure the voice of the child is at the heart of everything you do.

The role is for 29 hours per week and can be delivered flexibly over 4 or 5 days. You will be part of the management out of hour’s rota for which you will receive additional time off in lieu.
You may have to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role in order to safeguard young people and support staff.
