Were looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join us on our mission to improve our users financial health. Youll be joining a team of adaptable, creative and product-focused engineers shipping working software.

Who you are

As an Engineering Manager you are responsible for ensuring all aspects of the engineering team are functioning smoothly.

Whilst this is a hands-off role, you were previously an engineer yourself and you understand what it means to be an outstanding engineer in a product-focused tech company.

Your previous experience means you understand and are closely aligned with our engineering principles. You enjoy coaching, mentoring and supporting the engineers on the team and are motivated to improve the developer experience for everyone around you.

What youll be doing

  • Work with engineers and product managers to build, manage and retain a high performing engineering team
  • Responsible for the recruiting and onboard process and executing on it
  • Continuing to iterate on the career progression framework for engineers
  • Ensuring engineers have the right tools, training and support to be successful
  • Iterating and improving on our engineering principles across the team
  • Working with and across product squads to improve and optimise our processes and cross-squad dependencies
  • Be a voice for engineering across the organisation as well as build bridges between engineering and the rest of the company

  • Required

  • 3 years experience as an Engineering Manager
  • Excellent communicator
  • Experience working at a product startup
  • Experience working with engineering principles that align closely with ours
  • Strong technical background - this is not a hands-on role but you must have come from a technical background in a product engineering capacity
  • Passion for mentoring, coaching and developing the engineering team
