We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our PS Financials field sales team.

This role is important as you'll be responsible for maximising sales within our existing client base across the West of England by reaching and exceeding targets and creating new business opportunities.

What will you be doing?

As a Business Development Manager in this team, your day-to-day tasks will typically involve the following :

  • Build and manage good relationships with client base
  • Identify and create new business opportunities selling into existing customer base
  • Respond promptly to all approved enquiries from any source and action to result in profitable sales through appropriate selling methods
  • Ensure maximum profit is sustained from leads without losing business. Liaise with Internal Sales Manager when more than 10% reduction in sale price, rental price or services requested
  • Optimize quality of service and customer satisfaction by liaising internally where appropriate
  • Where appropriate participate in seminars, trade shows and any other suitable marketing opportunity
  • Keep abreast of all new IRIS software developments within PS Suite of products, ensuring capability to demonstrate and communicate these developments to existing and potential clients
  • Maintain ongoing understanding of competitive offerings and market positioning
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
  • Ensure marketing information is as extensive as possible to enable more effective communication
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time
  • Promoting the IRIS brand in a friendly, professional manner.
  • What skills and experience do you need to have?

    It’s essential that the successful candidate has the following skills and experience :

  • Proven sales experience with an application software provider
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to prioritize opportunities and tasks
  • Good communication, writing and customer service skills
  • Good negotiating skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Valid driving licence
  • Willingness to travel throughout UK
  • AAT or working towards an accounting qualification desirable.
