We are looking for a Wholesale Buyer / Product Manager to join the wholesale team at Urban Outfitters - it is an exciting time to join a growing department with big plans!

What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Plan and assort wholesale branded collections using sales data and feedback from partners to inform decision making.
  • Identify any significant SMU opportunities specific to Wholesale partners.
  • Responsible for intake margin. Work closely with retail Buyers to leverage volume across channels.
  • Manage vendor relationships directly, placing and managing production critical path through to delivery.
  • Attend retail meetings and liaise with retail Buying over relevant classes to maintain a knowledge of class level strategy, product and trade.
  • Work closely with core Buying and Design towards agreed sustainability goals.
  • Feed into wholesale partner strategy. Bring knowledge of sales trends and retail strategy to the conversation. Present proprietary brand strategy to strategic wholesale partners.
  • Assort and present wholesale collections, working with the team to build catalogues and to provide supporting information.
  • Present product strategy and collections to senior management.
  • Manage the wholesale calendar utilising knowledge of product lead times and sales markets.
  • Manage cross functional relationship for the UO wholesale business including the Photographic studio and Visual Merchandising.
  • Work closely with the Planning and Sales functions to deliver UO Wholesale collections and to meet or exceed divisional budget.
  • Reports to the Head of Buying & Wholesale. Manage and develop two Wholesale BAAs.
  • What You’ll Need :

  • Entrepreneurial in spirit, with a strong understanding of the Urban Outfitters brand and customer.
  • Relevant buying experience and a strong market awareness exhibited through knowledge of relevant brands and retailers. Wholesale experience advantageous.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to present and support a point of view. Must work effectively across functions, developing effective relationships.
  • A team player with the ability to provide leadership, training and motivation to direct reports.
  • Be a great brand ambassador and product eye.
  • A strong commercial mindset with the ability to see and potentialize growth opportunities within wholesale whilst staying true to brand values.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, able to drive systemic improvements and manage a high option division.
  • Systems : Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and able to quickly learn specific systems - Blue Cherry, B2B, Island Pacific, Tradestone.
