SISTER / CHARGE NURSE
CHILDREN’S EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
£32,306 - £39,027 per annum / pro rata (AfC Band 6)
37.5 hours per week 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM / SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Children’s Emergency Department for an experienced and innovative paediatric nurse who is wishing to develop their role.
We currently have a 12-month fixed term vacancy for a band 6 sister or charge nurse to join the children’s Emergency department which will include deputising for the lead nurse in the day to day management and delivery of nursing care whilst incorporating the opportunity to develop further your management and leadership skills.
The Children’s Emergency Department opened in March 2021, and is purpose built for Children and Young people. It is co-located with the Children’s Assessment Unit, and the 2 nursing teams work closely together.
Our team is dedicated and committed to providing and maintaining excellent standards of care to children and their families accessing our services.
We are looking for someone who will uphold and maintain our standards whilst supporting junior members of the team to do the same.
You will be a RSCN / RN (Child) with substantial post qualifying experience. You must hold a teaching and assessing qualification and have the ability to work under pressure whilst being flexible and adaptable.
You will also be able to demonstrate proven leadership and team player skills and have a commitment to promote the development of our service.
