My client is a fantastic and well renowned charity who operate a hospice, community services and outreach projects for grieving and bereaved families in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

We are looking to appoint a new Clinical Services Director to the charity in a highly exciting role. The Clinical Services Director will be tasked with implementing the charities vision to heavily increase their input into community and public health schemes including working with bereaved and grieving families to ensure they are equipped to handle bereavement and have the resources available to them.

My client wants to be a pioneer in their field by not just providing hospice beds but being a fundamental part of the community by working with families and relevant parties to be the first point of call for grief and bereavement support.

You will absorb the CEO's vision for this change in focus and will be crucial in driving this vision forward and bringing plans from paper to fruition.

The Clinical Services Director must have the following

  • Relevant qualification in healthcare, social care or hospices (Degree in Public Health, QCF Level 5, RGN or Nurse qualification, Doctorate)
  • Understanding of hospice and palliative care, public health and asset based community development,
  • Operational and strategic management experience at Director level in either hospices, NHS, social care, social housing or healthcare.
  • Business and financial acumen to manage finances and work within allocated budgets
  • Passionate and charismatic personality who can inspire and motivate a high performing staff team
  • Excellent communicator across all mediums
  • The role is a permanent full time post paying £55,000 - £69,000 dependent on experience and performance at interview.
