The Team

In Financial Transformation, we improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Finance function and generate real insights to help deliver value to the business.

Our Financial Transformation practice is a priority area for significant and strategic growth and the team works with leading Insurance firms, focusing on understanding the core issues and opportunities, in order to deliver value-adding change across their Finance functions.

The key drivers of change for our Banking and Insurance clients are regulatory reform, cost reduction and Finance optimisation, and our service offerings reflect this demand.

The Role

Successful candidates should have some Insurance Industry experience, and preferably working knowledge of the Finance function.

They should also be able to demonstrate the following :

Client Delivery

Work as part of a mixed KPMG and Client resource project team to deliver elements of the Finance Transformation engagements

Support the team and contribute to the successful delivery of engagement outputs and Client outcomes

Build positive and collaborative relationships with KPMG and Client resources

Facilitate collaborative and fulfilling working environments for the Client and KPMG staff on engagements

Business Development

Support the management and leadership in developing innovative and Client-focused go-to-market propositions

Contribute to the development of response for proposals (RFPs) to Client opportunities

Build awareness of the core Finance processes, data models and systems and an understanding of typical Client issues in the market

Seek to identify business opportunities on your day to day role on Client engagements, and where appropriate bring to the attention of the engagement lead / manager

Practice Development

Support senior management with internal operational responsibilities for the team

Support the management and leadership in developing innovative and Client-focused go-to-market propositions

People Management

Participate in skills training, knowledge sharing and networking activities with the team

The Person

Previous experience delivering changes within Insurance or a Finance function

Awareness of current and future regulatory changes within the Insurance industry

Understanding of Insurance Finance processes and reporting requirements

Experience in supporting the design of data, technology and / or business solutions

Strong communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships

Experience working with a diverse stakeholder group

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Ability to create and deliver high level presentations and outputs for internal presentation / review

Additional skills and experience (preferred)

Part or recently completed Accountancy qualification (or equivalent experience)
