Rocksteady Studios is looking to add to its family of staff on a 2-year contract with the potential to extend beyond that.
Reporting to the QA Lead, the Senior QA Tester will be part of our QA team responsible for testing all aspects of our studio’s AAA’ game.
Follow Rocksteady QA process, professional standards & set the highest standards in testing to support the requirements of the project.
Ensure that all issues & bugs are reported in an efficient & informative manner, keeping with the extremely high standard expected by Rocksteady.
Become the QA Expert for your assigned projects & given areas of specialisation.
Own, manage, create & regularly execute test cases throughout the project life cycle. This includes documenting testing practices, QA process & reporting methods.
Actively participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure QA effectively tests & supports all features of the project.
To communicate to all levels of staff within the Rocksteady team verbally & via effective high-quality
Ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently & all instructions are followed accurately.
Lead your assigned internal / external team and manage resources to effectively & thoroughly test the game.
Train & manage internal / external testing teams to improve upon their performance & maintain high testing standards.
Provide information on resource requirements.
Provide suggestions for improvements in testing strategies & processes.
Deputise in the absence of Lead when necessary to ensure testing takes place accordingly.
Provide assistance where required to the QA Lead.
Experience of testing on a range of platforms : Consoles and PC.
Excellent MS Office Skills.
Good understanding of game development, technical testing with proven areas of ownership.
Knowledge of game development processes & workflows (Agile, Scrum etc.).
Understanding of other roles in other areas of the industry.
Stability testing experience.
Experience of being a testing owner of a key area / feature of development.
E.g. Audio, Engine, AI etc.
Computer literate with a strong ability to pick up new software packages quickly.
Bug database management & maintenance experience.
For example creating & maintaining Jira & Eazy BI dashboards & filters.
Vetting issues in the database for your teams to ensure the quality & integrity of the database.
Developed & implemented strong & comprehensive test plans.
Experience of owning, managing, creating & regularly executing test cases throughout the project life cycle. This includes documenting testing practices, QA process & reporting methods.
Held a senior position on at least one AAA released title.
Knowledge of TCRs & TRCs.
Strong analytical skills & a keen eye for detail.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic & a desire to make world class AAA games.
Amiable, approachable with strong communication skills.
Experience of communicating verbally & in written communications with all staff across the hierarchy of a games developer / publisher (Producers, Leads & Developers).

Experience of working & maintaining a good relationship with external parties.

Flexible. Will be expected to work outside normal hours, including weekends and / or bank holidays, if necessary.
Management & execution of various automated tests via developer / in house / self-created tools.
Familiarity of issue / task tracking & project management tools.
A self-starter who has taken part in games development projects / development jams & is experienced using industry software & development engines.

University degree or equivalent qualifications in a technical or video games-related field.
