POSITION OVERVIEW

The Master Data Analyst role encompasses working with Sales, Operations, Finance, and IT to analyse data to maximize operating efficiency and maintain data integrity as it relates to all customer master data.

The Master Data Analyst will be responsible for adhering to operating guidelines and providing expertise to the Mitel business units as required.

The position is highly collaborative across the company, working closely with multiple areas of the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily operations by creating, reviewing, validating, and maintaining customer master data in SAP
  • Understanding and validating SAP master data integration with other related internal systems
  • Determines course of action necessary to complete master data requests following outlined rules and restrictions
  • Perform root-cause analysis on master data integration problems
  • Recommend and assist with corrective actions
  • Routinely audit data against established rule sets to ensure consistency and accuracy of information, and update data as necessary
  • Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of new processes and / or enhancements to the systems that support master data
  • Assist with standardization, data governance, cleansing activities, maintenance, and data quality improvement efforts in alignment with data strategy goals
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to maximize revenue and operating efficiency
  • Collaborate and train the business through data quality procedures to ensure data is complete, accurate, and timely
  • Develop knowledge and expertise of best practices and end-to-end business processes involving master data
  • Communicate timely and professionally to users, management, and senior leadership
  • ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

  • Reports to the Group Director, Strategic Planning / Analytics & Reporting
  • Engages with support teams managing other internal systems
  • Fosters close, co-operative relationships with peers
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrable relevant experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of work experience
  • Ability to work with a team as well as independently
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to adhere to strict guidelines
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle stress and deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Prior use of SAP customer master data is preferred
  • Knowledge of D&B terminologies is preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. geography is preferred
