Hazelwell Care Home is looking to recruit a full-time Assistant Chef to join their team who can assist the Head Chef in the planning, preparation, quality and presentation of food In our Care Home.
Applicants should hold all relevant qualifications for this position including City and Guilds Catering, an NVQ in catering and food safety / hygiene certificate etc.
and they must work within the COSHH and HACCP guidelines. Strong leadership, good communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential as you will be negotiating with suppliers regularly.
A proven ability to manage a busy kitchen, build a strong team and the ability to work on your own initiative is also key to this position.
A satisfactory DBS check applies to this position. Desired skills include previous experience in stock management and the dietary requirements and food preparation for elderly clients.
The position is 38 hours per week and offers excellent rates of pay and a first-class working environment coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.
