Dynamic Care Supervisor required for our Coventry territory
Salary £18,000- £20,000 (subject to experience)
Summary of position
Responsible for the efficient and effective running of a designated area. This will include the development and supervision of the care team ensuring a high standard of care is delivered to all customers in the area.
Effective implementation of customer care assessments, care & support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
Duties and responsibilities
This list is not exhaustive and from time to time you may be required to undertake additional duties
Visiting potential customers to set up care package including risk assessments and other professional responsibilities
Introducing new staff and managing probation periods & feeding back information to Care Manager on performance of all staff
Quality checks and reviews
Monthly spot checks and supervisions on Care Workers
Carry out customer assessments prior to commencement of care services in the absence of the care manager.
Attending customer's first call to introduce the care worker.
To attend customer reviews in the absence of the care manager
To ensure that all changes to care schedules are reported without delay to the coordinators.
To liaise closely with coordinators, care manager, customers, care workers and external agencies
Arrange and manage staff changeovers and briefings for live-in care assignments in the absence of the care manager
To attend all team meetings
To assist in the implementation of any necessary changes to ensure a quality service is maintained
To ensure rigorous adherence to all Bluebird Care systems.
Take on-call duties as part of a team on a rota basis.
Ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively e.g. covering calls either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or absent.
Recording all emergency calls and passing the information to appropriate parties.
Good reporting skills both verbal and written Previous supervisory experience
S / NVQ / QCF L3 or equivalent People management skills
Ability to manage own time Ability to write care and support plan
Excellent knowledge of health & safety
Ability to work under own initiative or within a team
Clear understanding of good quality
Clear police check relevant to country of residence
Full drivers licence no more than 6 points
Class 1 business insurance
£18,000 - £ 20,000 per annum based on experience
