Role Profile

Reporting into the Logistics Department as a Logistics Operative you will be responsible for supporting all services required by our internal and external customers within the Logistics Return Centre (LRC).

Ensuring accurate and timely service delivery to meet contractual requirements and ensuring inventory and transactional accuracy.

Typical Deliverables

  • Co-ordinate new stock into the Rico Forward Stock Locations network via the Telent SAF (Stock Adjustment Form) process
  • Identification, recording and processing of Quarantined parts
  • Receive and book-in units returned from field engineers onto Telent systems
  • Inspect and verify units based on contract specific DOA / RMA processes
  • Update Telent systems with repair data
  • Marshall units for shipment to repair / customer
  • Book in units returned from repair and replenish to the Rico FSL network or present to the warehouse for booking into stock
  • Process Logistics Order Desk (LOD) orders for the dispatch of parts from the LRC
  • Taking delivery of goods and supplies
  • Checking for damage or missing items / shortages. Escalating these to relevant department
  • Storing goods and transacting movements
  • Processing, picking and packing orders
  • Loading goods for dispatch
  • Arranging logistics / transportation collections & deliveries
  • Keeping records of stock updated using relevant inventory systems
  • Ensuring physical stock accuracy
  • Filing records and keeping paperwork up to date
  • Stock audits
  • Adhering to Telent QEHS practices at all times
  • Adhering to the required disposal process to meet Telent customer’s contractual requirements
  • Consistently delivering to contractual Service Level Agreements
  • Responding to general queries / investigation requests
  • Manage escalations
  • Updating of LRC Work Instructions in line with service delivery requirements
  • Business Operations Skills Experience

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience of working in a logistics environment
  • Be able to demonstrate a flexible outlook and approach
  • Be able to work under own initiative
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Proven knowledge of health and safety and best working practices
  • Inventory control management using systems such as Oracle and Remedy
  • Good computer skills MS Office, Excel & Word

  • Business Operations Skills Qualifications

  • Ideally Level 1 / 2 Award Certificate / Diploma in Logistics Operations - Depth and breadth of experience may be considered where these qualifications have not been attained
