Are you an experienced behaviour support assistant looking for a new challenge?
Teaching Personnel are searching for confident support / teaching assistants to join a Pupil Referral Unit in the Middlesbrough area.
Roles are currently available on a day to day (bank work) and long term basis as the school settles into the new academic year and new referrals are commencing in school.
We are searching for candidates with experience working in specialist units, or experience responding to SEMH needs. This school predominantly caters for secondary students between the age of 11 and 18 although there is a small primary department.
Specific qualifcations are not necessary for this role although you may benefit from a Teaching Assistant qualifciation or Team Teach training to help you respond to the needs of these units.
You wil be passionate about improving the lives of young people and confident in responding to challenging behaviour needs which can include ODD, aggression and severe anxiety at times.
Ideally you will have access to your own transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
