The purpose of this role is tomanage, control and coordinate the internal supply chain and workflow fromcustomer service through to despatch and the customer.
Working closely with the planningdepartment and ensuring that the production plan is optimised to deliver asmooth workflow and efficiencies through the site, whilst achieving the keymeasure of on time delivery in full.
The key goal of creating acontinuous workflow from planning through the site using despatch plans todrive delivery performance.
Focus on managing special, outsize projects whichfall outside normal workflow, using tools to control and forecasting productionperformance and capacity to achieve delivery dates.
Strong interpersonal relationshipsare required to liaise and building relationships with key stakeholders such asCustomer Service, Production, Planning, Print, Finishing and Stock &Despatch.
Managing goods in, finishing management,stock and despatch, transport to ensure components workflow is in the rightplace at the right time to achieve deliveries

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Link planning department into the site to create a continuous workflow
Provide on the ground intelligence to the planning department, support scheduling and ensure that workflow is set up to achieve maximum efficiency whilst achieving delivery dates
Manage, coordinate and drive site-based operations using the despatch plan and delivery schedules
Progress chasing and managing large project jobs and implementing tools and trackers to monitor and control
Ensure resources are available to achieve plan and utilized effectively to achieve delivery dates
Managing and chairing the daily production meeting and driving performance with the dispatch plan
Working with key departments to manage plan deviations ensuring timely reporting and resolutions within planned agreements and SLA’s.
Monitor plan performance v requirements and create all available options to achieve delivery dates
Responsibility for critical feedback to planners and customer service on failed deliveries
Ensuring a 48 hour stability window on the plan to optimize performance
Work with the planning department to achieve short medium- and long-term capacity requirements and forecasts
Departmental management of Goods In, Finishing Manager, Stock Control and Despatchincluding all people management and development and process control and improvements
Generate daily reports and feedback as required to manage service within the site
Attending and playing a proactive role in developing the site through management meetings
Initiate, lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
Building strong relationships with key stake holders to enable good communication enabling organization of workflow and responsiveness to customers.
Organise and coordinate stock takes
Providing cover for planners in peak periods and holiday seasons
