Key duties and responsibilities : Create and manage multiple small teams, which are innovative, well-articulated, and fully exploit the potential of UCAS' data and systems through analysis and publication, in a timely manner.
Lead and manage a team of lead data scientists and / or data scientists, to achieve analytical outcomes, and develop their skills as innovative technical creators, for present and future value to the business.
Realise value for UCAS more widely, by bringing analytically-informed perspectives and abilities to discussions across the business, and at external engagements.
Act as a role model to the department and organisation, upholding our culture and standards, and demonstrating UCAS’ values.
Person specification : Demonstrable experience of high-quality analytical writing, and undertaking proprietary research.
Experience in developing and leading a substantive area of work, and / or line management of a team. Advanced analytical programming expertise, commensurate with a senior technical professional across analysis methods, data creation, data linking, and analytical reporting.
Strong professional judgement in choosing analysis pathways that give rapid, high quality, actionable results. Leadership and management methods to achieve section outcomes, and develop the skills capability in the section.
Effective communication skills to embed results across the department, and articulate how data and analysis creates value for our customers to the rest of UCAS.
