Reports to :

Logistics Coordinator

Department : MCFC Academy Support

Purpose :

To arrange and manage all relevant travel and transport requirements within the Academy ensuring that the safety and welfare of all players, staff, families, and guests is maintained at all times.

To ensure all travel and transport policies and procedures are adhered to.

Accountabilities with Key Outcomes :

To provide a safe and efficient travel and transport environment for all guests, staff, families, and players of the academy.

Develop contingency plans for travel, transport, and logistical arrangements.

Develop and maintain excellent records of all relevant transport and logistics arrangements and ensure all databases are kept up to date.

Ensure that all travel, transport, and logistical services delivered are managed within the allocated budget for the department.

Work with the Phase Managers and Academy Secretary to arrange all relevant academy travel and transport including tours, tournaments, flights, coaches, and accommodation where required.

Manage the day-to-day transport schedule for the relevant Academy players and ensure all travel arrangements are made as required and delivered to the highest standards.

To work closely with the Recruitment Department, identify best travel options for triallist’s and their families and arrange the best possible option whilst providing good value for the academy.

To provide a meet and greet service for and accompany triallists and prospective signings and their families as required when they visit Manchester.

Ensuring a world class first impression is given to the triallists and their families.

To provide logistical support as determined by the Logistics Coordinator, Academy Secretary and Head of Operations and Development as and when required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience :


Clear and concise knowledge of Manchester and its surrounding areas.

A working knowledge of administrative management.

Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Knowledge of travel bookings and world geographical awareness.

Good communication skills.

Personable and friendly manner.

Confident and experienced driver

Excellent attention to detail.

Highly self-motivated and able to be reactive and flexible.

Ensuring confidentiality at all times.

Leadership and administrative skills.

Be an effective team member

Motivational, approachable character

Previous person management experience required

Experience meeting and greeting people in a professional manner

Clean driving license with D1 category


Basic knowledge of legal framework & requirements around driving legislation.

Basic understanding of spoken languages such as French, Spanish, and Italian.

Coaching and Mentoring Skills

Understanding of personal development

Understanding of team dynamics

Experience in transportation and travel arrangements.
