School of Business and Creative Industries

Full-time : 35 hours per week

In 2021, the School of Business and Creative Industries is continuing to make a significant investment in academic posts to support its strategic development and to help further position the School as a key player locally, nationally and internationally.

We’re seeking applications from individuals wishing to begin, or who are in the initial stages of an academic career to join our team and contribute to the success and growth of the Performance program within the Division of Arts and Media.

You will have the opportunity to carry out teaching, research / knowledge exchange and external engagement activities.

You should have a relevant degree and be qualified to postgraduate level or with equivalent and significant creative industry experience.

Ideally you will be qualified to PhD level, (or working towards one). Candidates with a genuine commitment to creating a more diverse and de-centred subject discipline are to be encouraged.

You will, ideally, have research and teaching interests which relate to up-to-date practice in relation to some or all of the following areas : -

  • digital performance
  • applied drama
  • collaborative and inter-disciplinary working methods
  • the evolution of ethical practice in the 21st century performing arts industry
  • You’ll be joining us at a very exciting time in our development, with recruitment on the BA Performance having doubled in the past four years and the successful candidate will join a team currently developing post graduate provision at masters and doctoral level.
