Charging Assessment Team Leader x 1 position available

About the role

We have opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Charging Assessment Team as a Team Leader. This position is currently home based , however you will required to work from a local office for training & meetings.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team of charging assessment officers to conduct financial assessments with adults accessing services from Adult Social Care.

The Charging Assessment Team is a dynamic and friendly team within Adult Social Care, liaising directly with service users and their families to ensure that financial assessments are applied fairly, consistently and promptly, showing sensitivity and tact.

The new Care Act reforms will result in a significant change in the way the Charging Assessment Team operates & as a result an increased workload & expansion of the team.

The role is suitable for an experienced manager, who can demonstrate a track record of effectively leading a team to deliver key objectives.

The successfully candidate will have experience in :

Managing change

Embedding new processes & routines

Leading & improving performance

The role will also liase with internal & external stakeholders including care providers.

About you

You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as being numerate and accurate, demonstrated by GCSEs grades A - C in Maths and English (or equivalent).

You should be able to work on your own and as part of a team, understanding your individual contribution towards team goals.

Knowledge of Adult Social Care is desirable but this is not essential as full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The most important attribute is a can do attitude and the desire to learn and enhance new and existing skills you have.
