As a children's community support worker you will be to enable the individual to experience and join in the world around them as much as possible.
This will be done by promoting the person’s social and personal development, encouraging their independent skills and facilitating their communication.
This will include assisting participation in various activities, assisting with personal care, and promoting independence both at home and in the community , providing short periods of respite for families and carers.
We are looking for enthusiastic people to support on weekdays, school holidays and Saturday mornings. We will assess your availability / suitability and match you with an individual / s to support.
We also offer various 1 : 1 services in the community with children which we may offer to you if suitable.
Previous care experience is not required for this role. It is really important that you’re adaptable and able to work on your own initiative, always putting the people we support first.
