From electricity production to defence of thenation and medical uses, the UK has benefitted from nuclear technology for morethan 60 years.
Now Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is working to support anddeliver safe and secure approaches to the way we deal with radioactive waste.
As part of this work, RWM will be leadingdelivery of a major infrastructure project called a Geological DisposalFacility for the permanent disposal of radioactive wastes.
Similar projects arealready underway in countries like Finland and Sweden. The project to bedeveloped in partnership with willing local communities -
will provide jobs,skills and investment for more than 100 years.
We are building a skilled and experiencedcorporate communication team at RWM. A key focus of the team is ensuring thatwe incorporate a matrix approach to the way communications and media aremanaged and utilised across the business to deliver the RWM vision, whileensuring our people have the tools and information they need to engage withstakeholders and communities in helping them understand our work.
To help contribute to these activities, we arelooking for a confident and talented Communications Advisor to join ourteam.
In this vital role working witha range of experts including scientists and engineers - you will support thedelivery of media engagement plans to raise awareness of RWM and its keyprojects, ensuring we anticipate key developments, are able to flex tounexpected changes and tell a trusted and consistent story to engage andinspire its people through effective internal communications.
