BCGDV is partnering with an international innovator in financial services to reimagine their use of digital solutions and cloud computing.

As well as building a FinTech venture combining a user-centric approach and modern technology to reshape financial planning, we are also supporting the build-out of a global cloud computing unit.

This financial institution is looking to build a European team to build and maintain a cloud solution function that will support the global business on its journey to have all applications hosted in the cloud.

The dedicated team operates across multiple offices globally and the position will be based in their European arm (either London or Berlin).

You will be a full-time employee of this global financial institution, at an exciting time in their global platform build as they move towards a follow-the-sun’ model.

You will be responsible for guiding teams through new technologies and the necessary quality checks associated with high-quality products.

Additionally, you will develop strategies and processes to unify technologies, and play a critical role in ensuring continuous delivery is a key platform across the enterprise.

Acting as a service provider to the wider engineering function of the enterprise and as part of a global initiative to shift towards AWS infrastructure solutions, the focus of the team will be to manage the wider company’s internal platform as well as its underlying infrastructure through the use of self-hosted and cloud-based solutions.

Additionally, the team focuses on providing senior-level cloud engineering services, including the direction, evaluation, selection, configuration, implementation, testing, automation, and integration of new or existing technologies and tools.

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) practices
  • DevOps practices :
  • You want to work with other talented engineers and foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, independent thinking and collaboration
  • You have experience in a modern object oriented language (Java, Node, Javascript, or Python).
  • You are able to troubleshoot effectively throughout the development lifecycle.
  • You have a working knowledge of Unix and DNS
  • You are able to self-train on emerging technologies and share what you learn with others.
  • Strong focus on quality, automation, and client experience

  • Must have high degree of personal integrity
  • Ability to work without supervision on short-term tasks

  • Beneficial but not required skills :

  • Building apps and services using AWS ECS
  • Basic IPv4 networking (routing, sub netting, NAT)
  • Monitoring and alerting production workloads in AWS
  • Continuous Integration and / or Continuous Delivery pipelines
  • Managing AWS infrastructure using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
  • AWS Technical Certifications
