Accounting Operations is part of MMC’s controllership function, servicing 15 countries across EMEA.
The Intercompany and Consolidations Accounting team are responsible for activities in relation to Intercompany transactions, allocations and reporting.
Specific responsibilities include Reconciliation review, Intercompany transaction processing, settlement and reconciliation, Allocation booking and reconciliation, VAT reports, provisions and review and Query investigations and resolutions.

We will count on you to :
Manage a team of 8 accountants and administrators, conducting performance appraisals, monitor staff functions, monitor workload and projects of team members
Carry out Accounting Operations tasks - Stakeholder management including controllers and our offshore processing partner, Internal / External & SOX audit and quarterly reporting schedules
Carry out Intercompany & consolidation specific activities such as Reconciliation review, calculations and analysis for the following areas : Intercompany Relationships, AR Control account, VAT / Corporate Tax, Equity range, Investments in Consolidated subsidiaries
Intercompany Out of balance investigation, Management of IO and Corporate AR balances, VAT reporting and Allocations process
What you need to have :
Qualified ACCA or CIMA or QBE
Supervisory experience within an accounting function, with a broad range of all round accounting experience
Relevant exposure to management reporting function gained by working in a finance environment with exposure to balance sheet and cashbook accounting
Excellent IT Skills (including Excel and Word)
Ability to identify areas to improve efficiency, accuracy and analysis and suggest ways of improvement

Experience of working for a large corporate with Intercompany accounting experience
Experience / understanding of Oracle Financials GL & AR
