An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proven Manager to help run an established Children’s Home for this fantastic children’s care provider.
This is a great opportunity to work in one of the units of this residential service and manage the staff team and to liaise with the Registered Manager of the service.

This is a great opportunity and does require a Children’s Care Manager with proven Ofsted experience and running a team!! They would consider a Deputy Manager who is ready to step up!
The main responsibilities of the Care Manager include :
Working with the Registered Manager ensuring that each young person has a plan which reflects his / her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs and that this plan is regularly reviewed.
Establishing and monitoring high quality standards of care.
Developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive.
Taking responsibility for progressing any complaints or child protection concerns
Working in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people
Attending and contributing to child care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
Involvement in the recruitment and retention of staff.
Addressing issues in relation to conduct and competence of staff.
Ensuring adherence to company policy in relation to probationary periods.
Promoting personal and professional development through the appropriate delegation of duties and responsibilities.
Supporting the Registered Manager with the homes budgets and ensuring they are effectively monitored.
The key skills and experience required for the Care Manager include :
NVQ 5 in Caring for Children & Young People (actual or in progress) or equivalent, level 3 and 4 would be acceptable.
A proven track record of successfully managing similar childcare facilities.
Strong staff management and budgetary skills.
An ability to communicate effectively on all levels with internal and external bodies.
A strong familiarity in working towards Ofsted standards and outcomes.
