£35,870.40 per annum pro rata to £44,838 per annum for 28.8 hours per week based at Fairmount House, Bull Hill, Leatherhead KT22 7AH.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

A valid driver's licence and the availability of an insured vehicle for the performance of work related duties is an essential requirement of the role.

About the role :

We are looking for an experienced, skilled and knowledgeable person to :

  • Ensure the Local Authority's statutory assessment obligations are fulfilled, as outlined by the Standards and Testing Agency, for both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • This includes, but is not limited to : Manage test monitoring for KS1 and KS2 including Phonics screening checksManage a robust programme of moderation for KS1 and KS2Informing STA of any irregularities with any aspect of statutory assessment and taking steps to investigate and address maladministration as requiredPlan and deliver a comprehensive training schedule for schools on all aspects of the KS1 and KS2 statutory assessment processes for a range of stakeholders

  • Line manage Primary Assessment Officer / s
  • In liaison with Service Manager maintain overview of assessment budget comprised of both de-delegated funding for maintained schools and revenue from academies and independent schools
  • Essential criteria for the role :

    Candidates should have :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • An excellent knowledge of both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 assessment processes and procedures
  • An excellent knowledge of both the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum subjects linked to statutory assessment
  • The skill to deal with a wide variety of partners and stakeholders, including senior staff, the Standards and Testing Agency, schools and other organisations' senior staff
  • Experience of working with a Local Authority to deliver statutory assessment requirements including monitoring of tests
  • Experience being a Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 moderator
