Recoveries Executive

Our focus at Target is to get it right first time and always aiming to delight our customers.

What you can expect .

You’ll have great conversations with our customers to agree affordable payment arrangements that will help get their account out of late stage arrears.

You’ll make sure they are treated fairly and in line with our FCA obligations. You’ll also identify where our customers are in financial difficulty and signpost them debt advice & support services.

You’ll work across three main functions : Collections, Recoveries, Shortfall and asset classes include secured and unsecured across multiple clients / lenders.

It doesn’t matter where your based it could be anywhere in the UK but you’ll be asked to travel to Chester on occasions.

You’ll be working 37.5 hours Monday Friday with a need to work 1 Saturday every 4 weeks.

You're someone who has :

  • Financial Service experience
  • 12 months Arrears experience in a lending environment secured or unsecured
  • 12 months Arrears experience within, utilities or telecoms
  • A typical day will include

  • Through great conversations identify when a customer is vulnerable
  • Administering payments
  • Using the appropriate collections tools
  • Undertaking holistic reviews of arrears accounts to determine next steps to recover the debt
  • Exhausting all contact strategies including production of tailored / bespoke outbound letters
  • Understanding our customers financial situation through income and expenditure assessments
  • Negotiating payments in line with our clients’ policies, alongside making decisions within your own mandate
  • Identifying, recording, investigating and attempting resolution to complaints
  • Working within the key performance measures set. These will include call quality, complaint resolution and ensuring fair outcomes for customers
