You will also be responsible for supervising the development of intelligence to manage threat and risk in relation to matters within the CT remit.
You will have experience in the broad field of intelligence supervision including risk management, as well as excellent communication / interpersonal and leadership skills.
You must be able to work under pressure with effective time management skills. If not already held, you will have support to complete ICIDP (Detectives) accreditation whilst in the post.
We are committed to becoming the most diverse team in the South East. We encourage interest and applications from candidates of all backgrounds and particularly welcome applications from female and BAME (black, Asian and minority ethic) candidates to enable us to truly reflect the communities we serve.
Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level.
Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks.
This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.
Our Intelligence department operates 24 / 7 and supervisor roles are expected to support the provision of an on call function.
There is an expectation that while this role is allocated to a post with a specific brief and detailed knowledge is required, it is also expected that the post holder maintains a broad overview of the wider CT remit, context and priorities.
The brief will change according to the operational priorities of the Department.
All vacancies of Sergeant and above are advertised to substantive and on promotion applicants at the same time; there are different application requirements for Substantive Officers and those Officers applying for Promotion.
If you wish to apply you need to have support from Head of Command / Department. Hampshire officers need to complete an AD277 alongside their application.
