Job overview There has never been a more exciting time to join us and an opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Capital Planning Manager to play a key role within the Health Board.
Reporting to the Head of Capital Planning, this post offers the right individual the chance to manage the effective and efficient operation of the Strategic Capital Planning section in leading the UHB’s Executive Directorates, Service Groups and other Stakeholders through the capital planning process and thereby procure capital assets and service improvements which are essential to achieving the UHB’s strategic and operational development and objectives.
Main duties of the job You will have a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering high value and complex projects and of meeting performance targets.
Excellent specialist knowledge of capital planning processes and construction procurement will be combined with proven skills in effective people management and communication.
You will also have a strong understanding of the importance of stakeholder relationships.You will possess knowledge of NHS Business Case development, technical and regulatory standards and have knowledge and experience of managing projects within a NEC contractual framework as well as preparing contract documentation for both consultant and contractor appointments.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and / or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
