Job Description

This exciting opportunity is based in our friendly Northern Ecology Team which is part of a large and supportive team of ecologists and environmental specialists who are based all over the UK and beyond.

You will contribute to a diverse range of projects, both small and large-scale across a variety of sectors (transport, water, buildings and power).

You will work collaboratively with colleagues from environmental and engineering disciplines and be responsible for leading ecological surveys, delivering technical reports and implementing mitigation for projects across a variety of sectors.

You will have the opportunity to influence developments to achieve the best possible outcome for nature.

This role will suit a dynamic proactive individual who wants to work in a growth area of our business and help support the delivery of ecological services in a fast moving, client focussed commercial environment.

Job Profile

We are seeking an ecologist who enjoys working in a close-knit team, providing their technical knowledge and experience to help development of solutions both in-team and for our wide range of clients.

You would contribute to the growth of our people, our environment business across north west England and our wider ecology practice which comprises 100 ecologists.

You will enjoy rising to a challenge, finding ways to add value for our customers, using and promoting innovative technology and above all, ensuring quality is maintained.

Most importantly you will be helping us to build a lasting and sustainable environmental business.

This opportunity is not a one-way street as we will give you an exciting space in which to develop. You will be visible within our business, working with other ecology teams across the UK and providing you with the opening for your reputation to grow, allowing you to influence peers both internally and across the sector.
