About Us

We’re the UK’s leading independent provider of healthcare services in prisons and youth offender establishments.

  • We believe in putting the patient first, regardless of the environment or their history. That’s why we’re proud to deliver quality healthcare in some of the most challenging environments;
  • care that is equal to what you receive in the community. We’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of prisoners by improving their health, securing their wellbeing, and helping to reduce reoffending behaviour.

    We deliver round-the-clock healthcare to more than 40,000 patients at over 45 prisons of all categories. Prisons are a community like any other and we offer all of the health services any community needs in one place and with a single team.

    These range from reception health checks on arrival and regular GP services, to help with substance misuse, mental health, chronic or long-term conditions, podiatry, physiotherapy, and optometry.

    HMP Bullingdon operates as a local prison holding both remanded and sentenced prisoners. It has a dedicated healthcare unit, specialising in supporting patients with complex medical requirements, mental health issues and primary care needs.

    Healthcare is provided 24 / 7, including first and second reception screening for new arrivals, triage and phlebotomy and vaccination clinics.

  • Long term condition clinics are a core clinical activity. The roles are varied, involving assessing and treating patients and carrying out effective care in an ever changing environment;
  • responding to both their physical and mental well-being needs.

    Our team includes GP’s, Clinical Leads, Nurses and HCA’s; emergency care is supported by our paramedic and all our clinical staff are trained to deliver intermediate life support (ILS).

    Pharmacy is managed by our pharmacist and supported by technicians and assistants.
