We are currently recruiting for a Controls and Automation Engineer to come and work this leading Automotive Manufacturing company.
The role is to support all equipment, including automation, electrical, pneumatic and robotics systems.

Supporting the Maintenance Department with expert’ knowledge in automation, electrical, pneumatic and robotics systems.
Take ownership and responsibility of machine software and specification.
Supporting the Maintenance Department with various duties in a multi-skilled disciplines in Electrical controls, Pneumatic systems, Robotics and General Electromechanical equipment maintenance.
Improve equipment performance by liaising with other Departments in respect of ongoing projects.
Develop and deliver training modules.
Undertake investigations to identify the root cause of equipment failure and implement countermeasures.
Qualified Engineer, either through an apprenticeship or degree
2 years minimum controls and automation experience
Control Systems : Knowledge of contactor logic, safety relays.
PLCs : Minimum ability to change logic and modify programs
HMIs : repair and change
Inverter Drives : Typical examples would include Yaskawa and Mitsubishi Inverters to drive motors and conveyor systems.
ARC : ARC system which is interfaced with an IT Network and scheduling system desirable.
