As the Head of International Business Development, reporting to the UK Country Manager, you will develop strategy and build partnerships that drive user acquisition, content supply and revenue growth across global markets.
You will be an integral member of a cross-functional team working with product, marketing and engineering with the critical responsibility of driving the long term success of Quizlet’s expansion into international markets.
An accomplished business leader, your primary responsibility will be to build and execute strategic partnerships with market leading companies across multiple sectors including publishing, EdTech and digital consumer platforms to introduce Quizlet to new audiences and accelerate Quizlet’s growth in markets outside the US.
In addition, you’ll proactively pursue opportunities to deepen and broaden the content available to support our international users, assess potential integrations to help us to meet our users where they are, and collaborate effectively with our Product team to evaluate features, tools and technologies that can further develop our offering.
You’ll develop and maintain a deep level of knowledge in both the education and digital consumer landscapes, keeping a pulse on trends that may be relevant and advantageous to Quizlet’s business.
Data driven and resourceful, you’ll use creative and scalable methods to identify, define and prioritize opportunities, and communicate their value to both internal and external stakeholders.
You have deep domain expertise in partnerships and have a detailed understanding of all facets of the function from identifying and sourcing new opportunities, developing deal terms, contract negotiation, through to product delivery and partner management.
You have experience liaising, collaborating and negotiating with senior executives at large corporates and can demonstrate a strong track record of developing and executing transformational commercial partnerships for leading consumer internet or EdTech companies in markets outside the USA, especially in UK, Europe, and Asia.
You have experience of not only building relationships from scratch but also building upon established partnerships to develop mutually beneficial long-term co-operation.
You will be experienced at developing a qualified pipeline with realistic timelines, scale and opportunity
