Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an SEND provision in Middlesbrough who are searching for a Behaviour Mentor to work with students with social emotional and mental health difficulties on a full time basis.
This position will commence from the start of the Summer term until the end of the academic year, however there is potential of a permenant contract to the right candidate and you will have access to extensive further work opportunities.
The role will be in a specialist SEND school, working with vulnerable young people, you will be working with the support of an extensive professional team of staff.
The children in the provision display extremely challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will be confident in approaching this.
The client school welcomes applications from a variety of backgrounds including those from youth work or army / military, experience working with social, emotional and mental health as well as challenging behaviour is extremely desirable.
You will be helping pupils to work towards formal qualifications so an enthusiastic and proactive support assistant with a desire for working with young people is required.
