About the role
You will join a team of experienced and successful mathematicians who work closely together to plan and prepare exciting maths lessons.
The Maths department forms a significant part of the wider Maths and Science team, ensuring lessons are well resourced and innovation can be supported.
As a result of this Maths is very successful, attracting large numbers of students to A level programmes and now the Core Maths option that was started last year.
A large proportion of our students also study Further Maths.
In addition to the traditional A level programme, maths teachers provide teaching on an Access to Higher Education programme for Adult learners and maths teaching for international students on study programmes in the UK.
We have some flexibility with the timing of your teaching and the programmes you teach on. We will aim to match this to your requirements and experience.
About the person
We are seeking someone who is passionate about maths and maths teaching. You will have a maths or maths related degree and ideally (although not essential) experience of Level 3 maths teaching and have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification.
This post would be ideal for someone who is wishing to gain experience of Level 3 teaching in a supportive environment. We would welcome applications from newly qualified teachers and also those wishing to reduce their teaching commitment.
If you would like to apply for this post please submit your application as soon as possible, as applications will be reviewed as they are received.
