This role will lead the Skincare and Allergy Bayer portfolio with brands including Clarityn, Bepanthen, Diprobase and Germolene.

You’ll have full ownership of your brands leading both strategic and executional facets of delivery in the short and long term.

This role is leading and developing the innovation pipeline for UK and Ireland. You’ll empower your cross functional team and develop and motivate your direct report to deliver the growth agenda and outperform the competition.

Major tasks and responsibilities include :

To develop category & brand goals and objectives in line with agreed marketing strategies, prioritising category and brand initiatives.

To manage and develop the brand planning process and activation to ensure successful adaptation to changing environmental pressures and business needs, guaranteeing that financial targets are met.

Leads innovation and communications development : NPD / commercial innovation pipeline and roll out in conjunction with BD&I, Leads Integrated marketing Communication development process from Idea through research , to full production of Creative assets for Cluster & EMEA Markets

To manage, motivate and develop direct report focusing on supporting the creation of a culture that embrace the LIFE values.

To lead the collaboration with Consumer Health internal departments and global stakeholders. Includes active involvement and key contribution to Global Brand Team via EMEA community, GCBU and representing Cluster at GCT when required

To manage on a daily basis the relationship with the Marketing agencies / suppliers to ensure best practice is followed, services provided are of the requisite quality and good value is obtained, preserving Bayer’s interests.

To ensure full compliance with corporate governance requirements and internal / external regulations as required.

To actively support CH initiatives driving customer engagement.

Manage relevant branded qualitative & quantitative research as and when required.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Education to degree level or a marketing qualification
  • Previous brand management experience gained in FMCG or OTC
  • Strong commercial acumen, including ability to work with complex figures and multiple information sources
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in people management is preferred
  • Prior experience of managing media buying is essential Excellent communication skills
  • A track record of New Product Development would be advantageous
  • A successful track record of project and brand leadership
