The Role...

The PBX Commercial Manager is responsible for the performance and management of the Betfair Bingo, Poker and Exchange Games P&L, across all product types and value segments.

Reporting to the Head of Gaming, you will be driving the performance of all segments and understand key customer trends in order to address them.

You will support the evolution and execution of our overall proposition that enables Betfair Casino to grow in the UK gaming market, in line with the overall Betfair Gaming strategy.

Creative thinking on how to drive revenue and customer growth will be required. A strategic and creative mind and an ability to translate ideas into action is key.

What You'll be Doing...

Revenue and budget management

  • Responsibility for PBX revenue targets.
  • Responsibility for PBX free bet budgets.
  • Support delivery of PBX campaigns through marketing and product.
  • Development of the quarterly and monthly marketing plans and budget.
  • Analyse and fully segment the player base in order to deliver effective monetisation strategies and customer communications.
  • Manage cross location and cross functional teams (e.g. CRM) to execute perfectly on commercial-owned marketing plans.
  • Working closely with the rest of Betfair Gaming, Product, Operations, International & Paddy Power Gaming teams to understand and feed into the product development strategy.
  • Support the delivery of key commercial projects to completion by engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver the desired outcome.
  • Driving a data led approach to profitable customer retention and player management across Casino.
  • Ensuring there is rigor around efficiencies of marketing spend and that you provide significant ROI
  • Act as voice of the customer with centralised marketing functions where necessary.
  • Operations

  • Working with Operations to maintain high standards - to ensure the site operates perfectly every time every promo, every journey, every piece of text should be perfect.
  • Supporting Commercial Product to ensure the right content is displayed to the right customers at all times. All journeys must work.
  • Creating and delivering a roadmap of ongoing tests and driving an agenda of continuous improvement.
  • Managing the 3rd party supplier relationship where required
  • Ensure that all required Priority lifecycle management processes are documented and operationalised, to include Potential Priority process, lapsed reactivation cycle, early life optimisation, monthly upgrade and downgrade communications, etc.
  • Work with Data Science teams to ensure business-wide value segmentation models are optimised and relevant for Betfair Casino
  • Develop a deep comprehension of business wide AML, Responsible Gambling and Compliance processes, ensuring we maintain up-to-date Commercial oversight of these areas and understand their implications for the Gaming Priority business.

  • Key stakeholder relationships and deliverables :

  • Partnering with the Business intelligence and data systems function to ensure we develop a data led player management process
  • Partnering with the product management team to ensure we support delivery of exciting innovative and promotions portfolio aligned to our overall proposition and strategy
  • Partnering with the Gaming operations team to ensure we have a flawless Gaming offering for our customers, that works every time
  • Take responsibility for the RM team to ensure efficient and effective processes and to deliver Betfair Gaming net revenue targets and the Priority proposition.
  • Ensure deliverables for central RM teams are clearly defined and RMs are accountable for delivery, including outbound contact targets, lifecycle campaigns and tactical performance actions.
  • Monitor, report on and optimise RM outbound contact strategy to ensure delivery of adequate monthly interactions at customer level.
  • Bridge the operational gap between RMs and Live Casino Host teams, ensuring established processes remain fit for purpose and are optimised around required customer outcomes
  • Work with Data Science teams to ensure business-wide value segmentation models are optimised and relevant for Gaming Priority purposes.

  • What We're Looking For...

  • Experience in working in a P&L Management role in Gaming, preferably in Casino
  • Strong industry experience with excellent domain expertise in Casino
  • Previous experience of working with supplier backend and systems
  • Top class numeracy and analytical skills
  • Experience in building and managing a high performing team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker and ability to translate into actionable plans
