JCB have a number of temporary production roles available - Immediate Starts!

Through our recruitment partners Guidant Global, we have a number of production opportunities with immediate starts across our sites in Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

We will require you to be flexible, have an eye for detail and accuracy with experience in assembly or manufacturing environment preferred.

In return we will give you a great training package, a generous hourly rate starting from £9.59 per hour rising to £11.25 after 12 weeks and 33 days holiday.

We will also have overtime available paid at time and half, shift allowance and free parking. If you are successful in your placement we could offer you a longer term position.

Assembly Operative

If you join the assembly team at one of the world’s top 3 manufacturers of construction equipment you would be using hand and air tools to help build our world famous products and enjoy a varied role.

Previous experience on an assembly line or experience with mechanics would be advantageous.

Materials Handler

You will be working in the materials department playing a key role in ensuring the correct parts are delivered to our assembly lines to meet the build targets of our award winning machines.

Previous warehousing experience and use of Manual Handling Equipment would be advantageous.

Fork Lift Truck Driver :

As the FLT driver you will be responsible for moving heavy machinery and parts around our busy manufacturing premises, you’ll ensure the right parts and materials get to the right departments quickly and safely.

You will have previous experience in a similar role and have a posess a either a Counterbalance Reach Or JCB Teletruck Fork Lift Truck licence in at least one of the following categories :

Mig Welder :

Working in the manufacturing department, you will be binding parts by MIG welding mild steel, in accordance with JCB Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Previous Mig Welding experience is essential and you will be able to read and understand welding drawings. You will be required to undertake a client specific weld test as part of the assessment process.

CNC Machinist :

Operation and Setting of CNC Machines, and working to tight tolerances. All machine work will be completed according to written JCB Standard Operating Procedures, working within tolerances of 0.

0000 to 0.0035 Microns). You will have previous experience using CNC Machines and be familiar with Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain control systems and be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
