Description de la mission

The Safran+ Engineer will play a key role in the continued progression and growth of the business by driving process improvement.

They will be responsible for ensuring the deployment, implementation and the animation of assigned Safran+ improvement initiatives in line with Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodology.

The job holder will be expected to coach, mentor, and train continuous improvement, managers and others on a range of continuous improvement skills.

There will be assigned projects but broadly the role holder will interact with all levels of the organisation.

  • Create, lead and support the 3 year improvement roadmap for their assigned department(s), with a strong focus on Factory of the Future projects
  • Run key business projects as Project Leader, including at least one major project a year (e.g. Black Belt projects aiming to solve complex problems, reengineer a production line or a process )
  • Coach and support the project leaders on the lean-sigma approach and tools, using their Black Belt experience and knowledge
  • Coach green belts on their projects using the lean six sigma approach and tools
  • Identify new projects that help improve operational performance and use innovative solutions on ongoing projects
  • Facilitate and animate a series of Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIW - Kaizen workshops) in the Department
  • Animate and support 5S / 6S and Employee Driven Innovations in their allocated departments
  • Support the White Belt training plan
  • Organizing the necessary benchmark in order to improve the performance in the dedicated area
  • Identifying and deploying standard tools, processes and practices
  • Full alignment with the Black Belt Safran+ tools and methodologies when conducting and coaching improvement projects
  • Improvement projects closed successfully and aligned with the improvement roadmap plan
  • Number of 5S / 6S events, innovation events, workshops (One Safran, Accelerated Improvement Workshops, Kaizen Events )
  • White Belt training delivery

    Votre profil

    Mandatory Candidate skills & requirements

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified Safran or standard
  • Thorough understanding of all relevant Black Belt methodology, including the approach, lean principles, DMAIC etc.
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Knowledge of lean enterprise concepts, able to identify nonvalue-added elements and activities
  • Strong knowledge and experience developing upcoming technologies ( Factory of the Future ) such as additive manufacturing, robots etc.
  • Strong experience of lean manufacturing / process experience
  • Demonstrated ability to persistently pursue and achieve results. Uses data / analytics to proactively monitor and review plans to hit or exceed targets and drives continuous improvement
  • Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and work independently under tight deadlines
  • Process driven, detailed and solutions orientated
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent logical reasoning, root cause analysis, deductive problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Leadership, ability to animate workshops and lead the change.
  • Evidence of written English at interview stage. This will be through providing certification of a formal English or technical qualification studied in the UK or overseas in English.

    If this cannot be provided you will be required to complete and pass an online SHL English comprehension test as part of the interview process.
