  • We are recruiting on behalf of Baginton Fields School, where you will gain valuable experience and a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician qualification.

    We pride ourselves on the support that we give to our apprentices, you won't be left on your own to figure things out, we will support you throughout your apprenticeship journey together with your employer.

    Who you'll be working for :

    Baginton Fields School is a secondary school for children with special educational needs.

    What you will be doing :

    As a full-time IT Technician you shall be working in partnership with a Managed Service Provider to offer direct technical support to the infrastructure within the school.

    You will play a vital role in managing, maintaining and supporting the school's computer network infrastructure, application systems and ICT equipment.

    This role shall require excellent communication skills in order to work with a wide variety of young people and teachers.

    The IT technician role is to provide efficient, effective and customer-friendly ICT network engineering support services to all users within the school.

    By responding to requests and queries submitted to the helpdesk (diagnosing IT issues and implementing fixes on-site and using remote connection tools.

    you will ensure the smooth running of the school's IT systems and provide high quality IT support to all stakeholders.

    This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

  • What your working week will look like :

    Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch

    Paid hours per week :

    35 (term time plus one week)

    Hourly Rate :

    £5.00 per hour for first 6 months. £6.00 per hour after 6 months in role and successful completion of set milestones in job role and apprenticeship programme.

    Expected Duration :

    18 month programme (term-time plus two weeks)

    Possible Start Date :

    Immediate start

    Desired Qualifications :

    We require someone who is educated to GCSE standard English and Maths grade 4 (or above), or functional skills level 2 in English and Maths.
