The Schools of Art and Design, Arts and Humanities and Architecture, Design and Built Environment run an impressive portfolio of short courses that take place during the daytimes, evenings, weekends and summer holidays.
Renowned for the quality of our teaching and research, we offer a vibrant atmosphere that encourages creativity and experimentation, and with this in mind we wish to engage a local, national and international audience in this programme of short courses, whether beginners, portfolio builders, those considering new career opportunities or professionals.
Experienced tutors are required to help build our course portfolio. We're especially interested to hear from experienced tutors who can offer innovative courses that explore new technology, technical making skills and current thinking subjects that will make a difference to a person’s CV and raise their personal or professional aspirations.
Our courses fit into the following categories :
These courses are for adult learners. However, we also welcome ideas for courses for 12 - 14 and 15 17 year olds that we run during the summer holidays.
You can read about the courses at
www.ntu.ac.uk / creativeshortcourses
You'll design, manage and organise your short course and undertake associated administrative responsibilities. As a confident practitioner with good interpersonal skills, you should be able to relate to short course customers and engage them with the subject area and learning objectives.
The courses will be fee paying - so an emphasis on customer service and value for money is paramount.
We're looking for individuals with an enthusiastic approach who can make a positive contribution.
The successful applicants will help customers navigate their specialist subject to maximise academic and / or professional development.
You'll have proven knowledge and skills in your field, an awareness of related activities, resources and events in the East Midlands and ideally you'll have experience of working in industry.
